Diamond drag engraving is the most widely known type of engraving. In the process of drag engraving a diamond tip is dragged across the material surface which removes the top layer of material. This produces an etched finish at a specific depth within the metal. Drag engarving does not product a coloured finish like some laser engraving or printing so the effect is more subtle. We use the latest in drag engraving technology which produces beautiful results on both flat and rotary pieces. Drag Engraving is permanent and will not remove over time.

The engraving method used depends on the material being engraved.

Laser Engraving involves the use of lasers to engrave the material. The laser either removes the top layer of material to reveal the material underneath like a lacquered pen or marks the material to create a colour change. In glass laser engraving the contact of the hot laser beam on the glass produces microscopic fractures which results in a beautiful frosted white finish. Laser Engraving is permanent and will not remove over time.

In the process of colour printing digital material is reproduced in colour on a substrate. We use the latest in UV colour printing in which UV lights are used to cure the coloured ink resulting in a completely permanent finish.

We have a selection of fonts that can be chosen on the product page. We also have a large collection of other fonts available and you can also send us your particular font if you have the file. Please get in touch if you have any special requests.

Each product has its own character limit which is detailed on the product page in the engraving preview.

We offer FREE Artwork setup on all our glass awards, trophy cups and shields. If you can provide us with a high quality logo, our engraving team can work out the best way to present your design with the space available.

Unfortunately at this time, we are not able to engrave photographs. This is something we are working on for the future.

Yes certainly, we do offer an engraving service for your items. We add additional engraving to many annual trophies and cups for local clubs throughout the year. Either pop down to our office or drop us an email with your requirements.

We would usually leave a minimum gap of 5mm from the edge of each item. If you have a design that requires edge-to-edge engraving or printing please get in touch and we can advise further.

The image should be a high-resolution scalable vector if possible. The higher the quality of the image the clearer the engraving will be.

You can also email us a .eps, .cdr or .ai file if you have these.

The bigger the better up to a file size of 20MB. Please note, larger files take slightly longer to upload to the shopping cart.

Please just place the order and choose the logo engraving or text & logo engraving option. Leave the logo section blank and contact our customer service team immediately and we shall hold the order until you have the details.

We offer an artwork origination service. If you don't have a high quality logo, we can redraw the logo for you. This is a one off cost of £25. For all future orders, there is no extra cost as we already have the logo on file. Please contact us if you require this service.

No the engraving process does not allow us to add any colour to the engraving. We can colour-print a small selection of our bamboo awards. If you would like more information about which awards can be colour printed please contact us.

Yes absolutely. You can request a design proof when placing the order within the product personaliser. This will be a more detailed and accurate layout of your design that the engraver will use to engrave your items.

Your design proof will be sent within 24 hours of you placing your order, excluding weekends. As soon as you are happy with the proof and confirm this via email, the order will be sent to the engraving team who will usually dispatch the same day depending on the order size and the time of the proof confirmation.
